What is CareBond?
CareBond is an online tool that helps clinic teams confirm appointments and get back in touch with patients who have stopped coming. It uses the clinic’s patient list to prepare messages for the team to review and send through the clinic’s WhatsApp. The team then records patients’ replies in CareBond. CareBond does not send messages automatically.
Do I need to be good with computers?
No. If you can open your email and export a list from your practice software, you can use CareBond. A short video walks you through everything, step by step.
Does CareBond send the messages on its own?
No. CareBond writes the message and opens the WhatsApp your team already uses, with the text ready. A person always presses send, one message at a time. There is never a system talking to your patients on the clinic's behalf, and that is our choice, not a limitation.
Could my WhatsApp be blocked?
CareBond does not send bulk messages. For contacting former patients, the system releases only 5 a day at first, rising to 30, so the number builds up a track record gently. And if three people ask not to be contacted again on the same day, those messages stop on their own until the next day. These are limits the system enforces, not suggestions. We cannot guarantee no number is ever blocked, but we do everything to keep it from happening.
Do appointment confirmations have those limits too?
No, and that is deliberate. A confirmation is a message the patient is expecting, because they booked the appointment themselves. So you can confirm every appointment you have, whether that is 12 or 150: leaving patients unconfirmed the day before would make no sense. If a lot of people ask to stop on the same day, CareBond warns you to check you ticked the right patients, but it does not stop you.
Is it GDPR compliant?
CareBond was built to support GDPR compliance. We provide a data processing agreement, keep every clinic isolated from the others, and permanently record anyone who asks not to be contacted again. The clinic remains responsible for having a lawful basis to contact its patients.
What data do I need to provide?
Only the essentials: name, mobile number, date of last appointment and type of treatment. Never diagnoses or clinical history. If your list uses different column names, CareBond still understands it.
Will it work for my clinic?
CareBond works for any healthcare clinic that books appointments and has patients who stopped coming back. The principle is the same everywhere: a list of patients, an appointment to confirm tomorrow, an overdue follow-up and a message at the right moment.
Do I have to export my diary every day?
No. Confirmations come from the patient list you already uploaded: reception only ticks who has an appointment tomorrow, and it takes under a minute. Nothing has to be exported from your practice software, which helps if yours will not let you.
Does the confirmation message give the appointment time?
No, and that is exactly why it is so quick to use. If the message stated the time, someone would have to copy it from the diary, patient by patient, every day. The patient already knows their time: what you need from them is whether they are coming. If you would rather include the time or change the wording, you can write your own confirmation message.
What if a patient asks not to be contacted?
It is recorded permanently and they never receive anything again, not even an appointment confirmation. We could argue a confirmation would be legitimate, but we prefer the simple rule: whoever asks to stop, stops for everything. They reply with a single word, and CareBond shows it to reception to be recorded.
Do I have to sign a long contract?
No. It is a monthly subscription. Stay for as long as it makes sense for you.
